Lie to Me Season 1 Episode 1 – Pilot
Now I must rave about this show! Why? You might ask. It’s pretty simple, I’m a big fan of Dr. Ekman’s work and I’m very happy to see a CSI Style show about mind manipulation.
Our real life Paul Ekman is played by Tim Roth as Cal Lightman (not to far of a step). Dr Ekman is the leading authority when it comes to lies and facial expressions.
Lie to Me follows the Lightman Group (Ekman-group) through there consulting cases, giving the viewer the chance to learn something about the science of facial expressions
The first episode revolves around a High school student that has been arrested for murdering his teacher, a congressmen being harassed about visiting a strip club, and finally a new member being brought onto Lightman’s team.
This show has great writing and cinematography. And best of all it is based on Dr Ekman’s research so it’s full of great little scientific tidbits.
